Thanksgiving 2013

The Thanksgiving tasks were...

Ben: Sausage stuffing, rolls, mashed potatoes and a last minute shopping trip to buy more salt.

*Sign of a good Thanksgiving meal: we ran out of salt and almost ran out of butter. 

Kent: Turkey, gravy 

Anna: Pumpkin trifle, baked carrots, general dishwasher and babysitter 

Kait: Pumpkin Spice Lattes, corn casserole, celery/carrot/dip appetizer, apple crisp, butterscotch cookies,
Kent and Caris made sure Anna made the trifle correctly.

This was the smallest Thanksgiving crowd to date, but we had good laughs and good eats. 

*Moment of silence to acknowledge the fact that there's a HIGHCHAIR at my Thanksgiving table. Double, triple thankful for that.

    it was pretty tasty! next year we'll add more chocolate back to the menu- we didn't have any!

Two Weeks from Two

I wear fancy shoes while reading books next to my sister  I recently asked to wear a princess dress for the first time  I try to put on my sisters' panties when they're not around  I eat cereal with a spoon like a big girl  I "help" mom sort laundry by taking one pile out of the basket and putting it in a different (wrong) basket, all while naming the person that the article of clothing belongs to "ehyaehya DADDY ehyaaah MOMMY....eeeeMINE...."
