The Suits Sisters

If I had you over for a coffee date, I'd probably invite you around 10AM...if that worked for you... And if all the parenting stars aligned, you'd arrive {and softly knock on the front door} right after Caris went down for her morning nap. If you came this week it'd be too warm to sit outside by 10AM. I'd mentally tell myself, "Listen to Kent when he makes his argument for a house with a pool!" I'd offer you coffee, tea or water. If I'm on top of my game, I'd have {store bought} sweet tea too and maybe some homemade bread- pumpkin? banana? zucchini? I'd triple check the coffee mug to make sure my lame & lazy dishwasher did its job- before handing you your drink. I would drink water, if I didn't know you that well. I would drink hot tea, slowly slurping it, if I knew you. You would probably ask me about Florida, as most people kindly do. Are you settling in? Have you gotten involved? How does Kent like his job? Surface level

My alarm went off at 6:45 Caris slept til 7:20 I made a cup of coffee The dog pooed in the garage Caris watched TV The dog was never fed I left a {slightly folded} dirty diaper on the floor The kitchen sink was left {slightly} running  The TV was left on I was late to church My daughter was delivered to the church nursery barefoot ...all by 8:30 am

It took ONE LARGE PACKAGE (thanks BJJL!) to remind me that I had dropped Thankful Thursday . I am thankful for surprise packages filled with fun things and familiar handwriting For finding notes that are 2 (or more?) years old in our South Carolina house  For my keen fashion sense and for comfy clothes (Also known as, The Clothes I Want to Be Buried In)   And I'm thankful for my squirt tail goober girl who has kept me on my toes lately.  I could eat her up with her a small spoon.

Lady: "Aww, what's his name?" Me: "She's actually a girl- I know- all grey- no pink- Her name is Caris!" Lady: "Harris?"  {Recent trip to SC}  {Watching the Masters two Sundays ago}

Day 12: On my left breakfast, lunch & dinner and her left {cheek}? ...a noodle

Warning: If you thrift the majority of your child's nursery library, you're likely to find her cruising around the house holding an Olan Mills   (classic!) portrait of two random kids that she found while tearing up  reading a book. 

Day 11: 3 of a kind 3 different baby seats used to host 2 families for dinner last night ...and that's the best I could do for "3 of a kind"

Day 8: Hobby Hobbies are done for fun  Cooking (new recipes! new ideas!) is my hobby-in-progress It's not always fun & relaxing...  usually I find myself staring at the oven  pacing back & forth in the kitchen But the results are sometimes  worth it tonight's meal

Day 7: Where I'd Rather Be On a distant island swimming with the fish instead of being alone, at 6PM, with a cranky 1 year old watching them on tv

I have a love-hate relationship with social media Love it: Wanna share every.single.detail. of my life or Hate it: Wanna delete every account that I have and become a hermit.
