ya know, the post that's halfway finished on Friday morning and gets posted on Sunday 1. Kent's back from his three day Redneck Church Planting Retreat in TN.  Tough life. winkyface This morning he took the big girls to the park and while Audrey naps, I'm walking around in circles in a quiet house. PRAISE HANDS. 2. Kent is convinced that I don't like listening to music. That's a pretty general statement and I don't like to make a quick correction:: I like listening to music in the right setting.  Right time: When I'm alone and it's quiet. Ben Rector and I are jamming right now Wrong time: When our entire family is getting ready for the day and he & Deitrick decide to remind us that HE IS ABLE ! Don't give up on God, LEMME IRON THAT SHIRT REAL QUICK 'cause he won't give up on you GIRLS, BRUSH YOUR TEETH AND HAIR He's able.  3. AuddyAnna is 8 months (WHAT??) and it seems like, to the older girls, that she's r

With both of our spouses out of town, I invited my dad over for Taco Tuesday. My not-so-hidden agenda was to talk to another adult and have a distraction (distractor?) during our bedtime routine.  Tacos included in the visit. The tiara was an added accessory

5 things I love about today 1. Waking up before my family 2. Hearing my three year old say "y'all"  2. My husband+family, willing to drive 1.5 hours to look at a van sold by two twenty-year old CarMax workers, that I decided not to buy (And my poor family never complained once) 3. Chasing my five year old with the hand-held vacuum, sucking up her hair and clothes & listening to her squeal.  5. Meeting up with my mom and sister for an evening of shopping! (this happens never) Okay,  just one more picture Easter...

Easter {2018}

We went from this...  to this (and back again) in about fourteen seconds. A big thanks to Kent for channeling his inner-Wes and acting goofy behind me while I snapped away. A picture like this makes my heart burst at the seams with thankfulness. 11x14 CANVAS PRINT, PLEASE.

Let's Talk Tuesday

1. Confession: Holy Week had me all like, SIMMA'DOWN NOW. Maybe it's because the patriarch in our little family has a job in ministry/church planting and I'm the Poster Child for Introvertedness, but WOW, next year I'm going on a Solitude Trek through the Andes Mountains during the two weeks leading up to Easter to let Jesus' death and resurrection soak into my soul. 2. We had two families visit in the last few weeks and it was so much fun. Visit #1 was a two night sleepover extravaganza in which we housed 7 kids ages 7 and under(!!). Visit #2 was a day-visit with 5 kids ages 5 and under(!!) Yowzas! Tis the life stage. Both families came to hang out & see the parsonage/church. Their kindness in driving super far with kids to express an interest in our adventure was not lost on us. GROUP HUG. 3. FIST PUMP for Spring::hanging up the kiddie jackets (and the whining that comes with putting them on), buying waffle ice cream cones, longer days, bright green folia
