Six
Sweet Care,
Happy birthday!! You're the big SIX today. At six years old you read everything you can get your hands on (books, cereal boxes, DVD cases) I know you won't always read out loud so I make sure to pause and listen to your sweet voice. You love the colors turquoise and purple. You are starting to talk more about your friends from Wednesday night church and co op, often times relaying entire conversations to us. You are always up for adventure! Things like riding the new zip line near Papa and Yaya's house or presenting if front of a co op class that you have never met before. Brave girl! You are a great example of taking risks for your little sisters (and mom!) You love being in the water and swimming, getting back scratches from Gigi and stuffed animals/little trinkets.
You don't love brushing knots out of your hair and not getting your own way, but your dad and I have seen a softening of your heart this past year that is the result of many years (like, 6!!!) of prayer and leading you to repentance. We thank Jesus for His work in your life.
Your love language is words of affirmation and quality time. You often invite us to sit and read with you and you're always up for a quick (or long) chat.
Caris, you are smart, funny and full of life. We love your smile, belly laugh and watching your imagination run wild. I love you, first Baby girl!
Love,
Mommy
