Donut Worry, Be Happy!

I feel as though it is my civic duty to tell you that this Friday, June 2, is National Donut Day. A few places are offering deals with an additional purchase, but good ol'  Krispy Kreme is giving away one free donut of your choice to anyone one who stops in on Friday. Go getcha' one!

The Elephant in the Room

Allow me to address the elephant in the room. Ya know, the one shaped like a moving box. At the beginning of May our church decided to end their professional relationship with Kent (possibly my only chance to use professional wordage on my blog? winkyface ) I won't go into details here in case you're some creeper reading this from your basement in Montana and also, there's not even a big juicy story to tell (But if you buy me ice cream and find boxes for me, I'll share my side of the story with enough dramatic emphasis to make it worth your time) We have spent the rest of this month updating his resume and sending it to several churches. Both of our emotions and moods have swung from one end of the spectrum (God is good! He has a plan!) to the other (My life is over! Feed me more pizza!)  depending on the day. We are decluttering, packing a few boxes, eating too much and praying that another job opens up for Kent very soon. Please pray with us! Can you find Caris...

I'm writing from an undisclosed location in South Carolina using spotty internet connection. An update on life happenings will come soon, once I return to civilization  regular internet connection  Making: Plans to host a goodbye gathering for a church friend  Cooking: Nothing (praise hands!)   Drinking: Today I had coffee, water and a small cup of  Sprite Zero Reading:  The Magnolia Story is waiting for me at the library  Wanting: To know if we're adding a brother or sister to the mix. Thankful Thursday

1. The guilt free relief of donating a car load of stuff to Goodwill 2. A German chocolate candy bar from Ilse 3. My daughters, in all their watermelon eating cuteness  4. Two watermelons in one week 5. An active baby  6. A cup of coffee. Half in the morning, half in the afternoon 7. A quiet post-library car ride home while the girls look at new books 8. Rest time. 2-3PM woot! 9. The beginning of swim season- endless afternoon entertainment  10. So many great local playgrounds  with clean bathrooms(!)
